Overview of Global TV on Roku
Global TV is available as a dedicated app on all current Roku streaming players and Roku TVs in Canada, giving access to live channels and ondemand shows. Many recent episodes stream free for a limited time, while full seasons and live feeds unlock after you sign in with a participating TV provider. Activation connects your Roku device to your provider account, so the app knows which channels and content you can watch visit watch.globaltv/activate.
Check Requirements Before You Start
You need a Roku device supported in Canada, such as Roku Express, Streaming Stick, or a Roku TV model, connected to your TV and internet. You also need a Globalcompatible Canadian TV provider login and a phone, tablet, or computer with a web browser to complete activation. Make sure your Roku system software is up to date by going to Settings > System > System update so the latest Global TV app version installs without issues.
Add the Global TV Channel on Roku
From the Roku home screen, scroll down and select Streaming Channels to open the Roku Channel Store. Use the search option to type Global TV, then choose the official Global TV app listing that appears in the Movies & TV category. Highlight the app, select Add channel, and wait for Roku to download and install it on your device.
After installation finishes, press the Home button to return to the main screen and look for the Global TV tile. You can move it closer to the top of the channel grid to access it faster if you use Global TV often. When you are ready to start activation, select the app tile to launch it for the first time.

Launch the App and Get Your Activation Code
When you open the Global TV app for the first time, you can usually browse some free clips and limited content without signing in. To unlock live streams and full seasons, you need to go to the Sign In or Activate section in the app, often labeled Activate Your Device.
The app will show a unique activation code on your TV screen, along with the official activation website address, such as globaltv.com/activate or watch.globaltv.com/activate. Leave the code screen open on your Roku and note that codes are timelimited, so you should complete the next steps without long delays.
Enter the Code at the Global TV Activation Site
On your phone, tablet, or computer, open a browser and go to watch.globaltv.com/activate or globaltv.com/activate, depending on the link shown in the app. When the page loads, enter the activation code exactly as it appears on your Roku screen, paying attention to upper and lowercase characters if used.

After entering the code, the page will prompt you to sign in with your TV service provider credentials, such as Bell, Rogers, Shaw, Telus, or other supported Canadian providers. Once you submit your provider username and password and complete any verification steps, the site confirms that your Roku device is linked.
Finish Activation and Start Watching
When activation succeeds, the Global TV app on your Roku should refresh automatically within a few moments. You will now see more rows of content, including locked episodes that are now available, as well as a live TV section with your nearest Global station and affiliated specialty channels where applicable.
You can browse by show, category, or live channel and play episodes included in your TV subscription. New episodes are added daily, and some are free for a limited window before requiring signin, which makes activation useful even if you primarily watch recent broadcasts.
Managing Your Access and Device
Your activation stays tied to both your Roku and your TV provider account until you sign out, uninstall the app, or your provider subscription changes. If you change TV providers, you can visit the settings or signout option inside the Global TV app, then repeat the activation steps to link the new provider.
